Parking
Parking in San Francisco can be expensive, confusing, and difficult. The City touts and encourages use of its public transportation systems. Over the past decade, San Francisco Municipal Transit Authority (SFMTA, aka Muni) has implemented many changes to traffic and parking regulations to dissuade private vehicles. Parking rates vary widely by area and time of day.
If you absolutely must drive to convention, then the resources below may help you evaluate the best option for your needs.

BART Multi-Day Reserved Parking
BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) operates parking, designated for BART riders, at 35 stations. At most stations, Multi-Day Reserved parking costs only $6 per day.
Multi-Day Reserved parking is for stays of up to 20 weekdays, such as parking while traveling to the airport. Multi-day allows for overnight parking only when using BART to travel to your destination. Purchase on the official BART app or pay by website up to 60 days in advance. Park in the designated reserved area; a reserved space is guaranteed until 10am. If the reserved area is full, park in a Daily Fee space.

All parking is free on weekends and BART holidays. So you can park on July 4-6 at no cost!!
From any BART station, it’s an easy train ride to Powell Street Station which is 1/2 block from the Marriott Marquis.

Located just across the street diagonally from the Marriott Marquis, the 5th & Mission Garage is exceptionally convenient and potentially 1/2 the cost of parking at the Marriott.
No In-and-Out privileges. Fees are calculated and paid per each entry and exit. If you plan to leave your car parked for several days, this might be a viable option.
